The SunAcid acid-based concrete stain is design to add permanent color to a concrete surface. The color that is produced is mottled, translucent and natural earthy toned. It often resembles granite or marble. The stain reacts with the lime in the concrete so that it becomes a permanent part of the concrete and it doesn’t crack or peel off.
Features and benefits: SunAcid is colorfast. It will not fade in UV light, making it perfect for exterior surfaces. SunAcid is a permanent coloration solution.
Where to use it: SunAcid is ideal for a range of exterior and interior architectural decorative concrete applications.
How it’s done: SunStain is applied in a variety of ways. The most common is by spraying the material onto the surface, and then to leave it as is or brush it into the surface with a broom. Once the material has reacted, the floor has to be neutralized and then cleaned. Acid stains do not always need to be sealed, but an unsealed surface can wear and it will not have the depth of color and bold look achieved with a sealed surface.
