Nashville KOA Resort Gets a Floor Refresh with Concrete Dye

SUNDEK of Nashville recolored the floors at the Nashville KOA Resort using SUNDEK’s SunDye system.

There are more than 500 KOA campgrounds across North America, all of them providing family-friendly spaces to enjoy the outdoors. At the Nashville KOA Resort, right next to the Cumberland River, the site boasts several amenities including a general store, pool area, exercise room, playground, basketball court, plus a café and lobby. After years of use, the concrete floor in the café and lobby needed an upgrade, so the KOA contacted SUNDEK of Nashville about a refresh.

To revive the floors, SUNDEK opted to use the SunDye system. SunDye is a penetrating dye stain that provides an economical way to color interior concrete. Because the color penetrates the surface, it doesn’t chip or peel off. Another one of its many benefits is that it dries very quickly, so it cuts down on the wait time from application to client use—ideal for a place like this that hosts many families throughout the year.

In this case the client already had the colors selected. SUNDEK of Nashville used three colors to dye the floor: Old English Red, Raw Sienna, and Black.
