I did a Google search to find someone who could remove the sealer from my oversealed driveway. I came across Sundek of Nasville and decided to give them a try.

I called and immediately got an appointment set.

On 8/12/25 Ross Hilz came to my house for the scheduled appointment. He evaluated the issue and stated that the sealer was really thick and he recommended a guy named Jamie Thompson to remove it. Jamie owns Excel Dry Ice Blasting for sealer removal.

A couple of days later Jamie came out to evaluate the issue and stated that he could remove it. Jamie came out the next week and was able to remove the sealer and wasn't easy but he did an excellent job.

Once it was removed Ross came back over to advise me on the next move which was to do a repair and overlay. He recommended that I should get approval from the HOA first.

The HOA did approve the repair and overlay.

I picked out the sample colors and within a week he dropped off a 16 x 16 sample of the colors I picked.

On 10/20/25 the Sundek crew arrived to start the project. Marvin and Nectali put protection paper in all the areas including the grass that was touching the driveway which impressed me a lot.

The project took 3 days and each morning I received an email from Heather stating that the Sundek crew were on their way. Marvin and Nectali were always on time and very respectful. I really appreciated how they made sure there was no damage to the house.

Once it was completed Ross came by to walk the job and we both agreed that it turned out excellent.

I recommend Sundek of Nashville to everyone especially if you have oversealed your driveway or need it repaired without installing a whole new driveway.

So, I give Sundek 5 stars for a job well done.

Sundek did a great job adding a stamped concrete finish to our screened in porch and grill area 18 months ago. They just returned this month to do a very small update for us in the grill area after we did a remodel of the area. They did both projects with excellence. I was relieved and impressed they would follow through with a small update for us.

I would highly recommend Sundek of Nashville.The communication from project beginning to end is something you don’t find in todays time.Working with Chel was great. He came out and went over all their products and answered all the questions we had. He provided us with the quote super quick. We were indecisive about the color so he was glad to stop back by and go over everything. Once the project started I was super impressed with Mauricio and his crew. They are very skilled craftsmen and very hard working employees. Once the project was finished I went over every inch and could not find any imperfections that needed attention.We are very pleased with our experience, the product, the company, and its employees.A side note, we were gone the day after our deck was painted and sealed, there were thunderstorms in the area and it produced large hail. My neighbors shared the attached pic of the size. Once we learned of the storm I was very concerned of possible damage to the newly painted pool deck. After inspecting everything you would never have known that there was hail of this size.

We absolutely love our back yard and the Sundek coating really makes the entire pool deck and patio pop! The stamped pattern and color matches our other stamped concrete patio so well it is hard to tell the difference, and the brick pattern on the hardscape retaining wall is the perfect contrast to that stamp. I can't imagine having regular gray swept concrete and cannot speak highly enough about the outstanding job by the Sundek crew. Thanks to Dave Guy and his team for the awesome service!

We had our pool deck resurfaced and the coping re-painted after the tornados in Bowling Green, KY. The quality of work and attention to detail, especially with regard to taping things off and protecting everything that wasn't getting re-surfaced and painted was exceptional. Too often customers are quick to complain but slow to praise workers on a project, so we would like to take the opportunity to commend Baltazar and Santiago on their excellent work with the overlay and stamping of our patio and pool deck. They were both very meticulous and extremely professional. Both men worked long hours in the excessive heat over a five day period, never complaining in the least.

Since Baltazar was the lead on this project, our communication was primarily with him. Throughout the process he was very friendly and willing to address any concern or question that we posed. Truly his professionalism and attention to detail rose to a level that we have not often seen with contractors. He is obviously very skilled at his trade and artistic as well. Not only was he detailed in his tasks, he was so careful not to damage any of the surrounding area.

On the final day Santos accompanied them and he too did a fine job.

After 17 years it was time to replace my Sundek pool deck surface. Ross Hilz examined the area and provided an estimate and timetable we agreed on to replace the surface. June arrived and so did Mauricio and Gustavo and their crew. They worked tirelessly 3 days in very hot weather removing, repairing, preparing and resurfacing my pool deck with a new surface. It’s perfect and looks brand new. Thanks Sundek if Nashville. I will recommend their services highly to anyone considering a pool deck or patio resurfacing.

Our experience with Sundek was 5 star from our very first contact with them. We had several companies quote to resurface our aging concrete pool deck and the newly poured addition. Their sales person was the only one who inspected the deck meticulously and quoted to repair issues. We had some bolts and a small piece of aluminum fence left in the deck when the old fence was removed - he quoted to fix these issues. Ross also quoted to level areas of the deck where there was a potential toe stub risk, and ultimately it was that attention to detail that won them the job. We got the impression from many of the companies who quoted that they just wanted to spray a texture on the deck and be done as quickly as possible. Sundek had a more involved process and seemed intent on doing the best job possible and ensuring we would be happy. And they itemized the quote, with options, so that we could select exactly what we wanted done. When the work started the crew were just as meticulous as Ross had been and their attention to detail was remarkable. They were painstakingly clean and masked the work area carefully, wrapping the entire fence in plastic. They communicated with us throughout the process, checking with us whenever there was a decision to be made, from the density of the scoring of the surface and whether it should stop at the edge of the border or continue to the edge of the pool, to whether or not to paint our safety cover anchors. The end result is beautiful. We chose a Bone White border around the pool, with the rest of the deck being Francisco Tan with custom scoring to give the deck a "crazy paving" look. When the work was complete Ross came back out to check on it and ensure we were happy with every detail. We could not be happier!

When at first you don’t succeed, try, try again!! Fortunately, we only had one additional “try,” but with this second treatment, you (and we) hit a home-run with the smoke-gray base and the intermix of highlighted stamped concrete in select sections and along the borders. Mauricio and Darwin headed the crew that had to remove and completely repair my deteriorated pool deck - including the edge of the pool. The previous finish developed hairline cracks which allowed the rain/snow of February 2021 to go beneath the finished surface. Of course, upon freezing and swelling the pool surface cracked and peeled. The extreme extent of the work was perfectly and professionally handled by Sundeck. I would absolutely and highly recommend this company. Ross Hiltz, who was was my contact, was very personable and knowledgeable. He checked on me and his crew often … although they really didn’t need any guidance due to the number of years during this type of work. Mauricio and Darwin completed this work in July 2021. It was a furnace-hot summer, yet they worked diligently all day long for several days without complaining. Superior!

SunDek did a fantastic job refinishing the concrete deck around my in ground pool. They sanded the old paint off, put texture down, and repainted the entire area. It looks brand new. Sundek did a great job of resurfacing the concrete pool deck. My wife and I were truly amazed at how good it looks (like brand new). All cracks were sealed and no longer visible. An area where a previous leak repair was made and filled back in matches and is no longer is visible. They took out the old sealant and re-sealed everything to match, filling in all holes and gaps. They completed the job in a day while we were at work and left no evidence behind that they were there. I guess time will tell but we are very satisfied.
