What is concrete resurfacing?

When we resurface concrete, we put a coating right on top of your existing surface to make it look brand new. That means you can skip the hassle, mess, and huge expense of ripping out your existing concrete.

How does concrete resurfacing work?

We begin by thoroughly cleaning your surface, then grinding or shotblasting it, if necessary. Then we fill any cracks to prevent them from showing up in your new surface. Next, we apply the coating (concrete, epoxy, or acrylic) and customize it to give it the desired look. Finally, we add a high-quality sealer for protection. (You can learn more about sealers here.)

Can damaged concrete be resurfaced?

Yes! We can resurface any viable concrete surface, whether it’s cracking, chipping, spalling, fading, or has any other damage. In addition to being experts in resurfacing, we are skilled at repairing concrete, too. Before resurfacing your concrete, we will repair any existing damage. We’ll also assess the damage to prevent it from happening again on your new surface.

What types of outdoor spaces can be resurfaced?

At SUNDEK of Nashville, we can apply coatings to just about any surface. Here are just a few of the most common outdoor spaces we do work on. (Get information on indoor concrete floors.)

How long does it take to resurface concrete?

The length of time it will take to complete your project depends on the size, the state of your existing concrete, and the type of design you want. We would love to discuss your project and give you a free estimate. Contact us to get started!

How do you maintain a SUNDEK surface?

Our clients are often surprised that maintaining our decorative coatings is easy. The key to easier maintenance is having a sealer applied after your coating is complete. At SUNDEK, our high-quality sealers protect your surface from things like oil spills, chlorine damage, UV rays, and more.

General maintenance includes removing dirt and other debris from the surface every few days or so. To remove debris, you can use a broom, blower, hose, or pressure washer. For stains that are hard to remove, you can use a non-abrasive commercial cleaner. See more about cleaning concrete surfaces.

What kind of design options are available?

When designing your surface with us at SUNDEK of Nashville, the sky is the limit! We have a wide variety of colors, patterns, and textures to choose from. If there’s a particular look you like such as brick, limestone, cobblestone, or any other material, we can mimic that look using stamped concrete. We can also stain your concrete so you get just the color you’re looking for. Let us know what aesthetic you’d like, and we can help make it happen.
